musicMagpie is a UK-based tech business at the forefront of the global recommerce revolution and is the smart, sustainable and trusted way to buy, rent and sell tech. It’s ‘Smart for you…Smart for the planet’. In 2021, musicMagpie partnered with WasteAid as part of its G7 campaign to tackle the global e-waste challenge, with a donation for each piece of tech sold to the site throughout June.

The Haines Collection

The Haines Collection provides a solution to the environmental challenges facing the interiors industry. It is a pioneering platform for the resale of fabric offcuts and home furnishings, that would otherwise be headed for landfill.

Vitaka Consulting was founded in 2016 by Victoria Manning to provide waste planning services to public and private sector clients.

Vitaka is a chartered town planning consultancy with a specialism in waste planning, combining experience in planning policy, regeneration and private consultancy.

Victoria sits on the RTPI International Committee, is Secretary of the London Waste Planning Forum, and has provided hands-on support to WasteAid in the Gambia with their plastics recycling training programme.

Natural or Nothing

Natural or Nothing is a UK based business focused on finding natural alternatives to plastic. Having started with kitchenware, they are now branching out into other areas of the home to support families wishing to make the change to eco-friendly products. Passionate about the environment, the company wants to make an impact on clearing up the plastic waste already created by donating 10% of their profits to WasteAid – creating a sustainable future for generations ahead.

RWM is the leading recycling, water and energy waste management event in the UK – showcasing the latest innovations shaping the sustainability sector to the industry’s most influential names and organisations. Each year, more than 11,000 recycling and waste management professionals travel from around the world to collaborate with forward-thinking businesses, public sector bodies, government departments and not-for-profit organisations on building a more resource-efficient future.

Both days are packed with unmissable seminars from resource management thought leaders and figureheads; offering expert advice and invaluable guidance and support. The show will also be home to hundreds of cutting-edge exhibitors, who will display the latest environmentally sound and profitable solutions.

RWM, in partnership with CIWM, is the only UK event that brings together the entire industry.


The Chartered Institute of Wastes Management funded the WasteAid guide to community waste management, which was published in October 2017. The draft guidance was trialled at the Arkleton Trust seminar in the Gambia in April 2017 and incorporate feedback from participants from across sub-Saharan Africa and beyond. CIWM also selected WasteAid as its Charity of the Year for the 2016 Gala Dinner, helping raise awareness and funds to support our ongoing projects, and CIWM Southwest and Northeast have supported our work in West Africa with donations and support. Arkleton Trust

The Arkleton Trust funded a seminar in April 2017 which brought together community groups from the Gambia, Kenya, Malawi, Uganda, Ethiopia and India. The event focused on community resilience and waste management. WasteAid UK was invited by the Arkleton Trust to deliver the workshops on community waste management, which provided inspiration and guidance to participants on developing a livelihoods approach to tackling the waste crisis. The Arkleton Trust has also supported WasteAid UK in Kenya, allowing us to support the Kwa Muhia Environmental Group with a community waste management strategy. WasteAid UK is very grateful to the Arkleton Trust for its continued support.


In 2017, Lush UK chose WasteAid as a Charity Pot partner. Lush started Charity Pot in October 2007 to raise money for worthy organisations and projects focused on animals, people, and the environment.
